Crimsonfish

The Crimsonfish is one of the five legendary fish in Stardew Valley and puts up a fierce fight that will challenge even skilled anglers. You need a fishing level of at least 5 to hook this one. Head to the east pier on the beach, the long wooden dock that extends out over the ocean, and cast your line as far east as possible during Summer between 6am and 2am. Weather does not matter. The Crimsonfish has extremely erratic and aggressive movement in the fishing mini-game, darting rapidly up and down the bar. An Iridium Rod with a Trap Bobber is essential, and eating fishing buff food like Seafoam Pudding or Dish o' The Sea is strongly recommended. At 1500g base sell price, the Crimsonfish is one of the most valuable fish in the game, but since it can only be caught once per save file, most players choose to keep it as a trophy rather than sell it. It is not required for any Community Center bundles. Consider placing it in a decorative fish tank in your home or holding onto it for collection purposes. Since the Crimsonfish is only available during Summer, plan your attempt carefully. Make sure you have leveled up your fishing skill and have the right equipment before Summer arrives. If you fail to catch it, you can try again on subsequent Summer days, but you will need to wait a full year if Summer passes without success. This legendary catch is a true badge of honor.
