Midnight Carp

The Midnight Carp is a nocturnal fish that only appears during the late-night hours from 10pm to 2am in Fall and Winter. You can catch it in the Mountain Lake or the Forest Pond in Cindersap Forest. The very late catch window means you need to stay up past your normal bedtime, so plan accordingly and make sure you have enough energy to fish through the night. In the fishing mini-game, the Midnight Carp has a moderate difficulty with steady but active movements that require good tracking skills. A Trap Bobber helps, though experienced anglers should be able to manage without it. At 150g base sell price, the Midnight Carp is a valuable nighttime catch and one of the better-paying fish available during its time slot. It is not required for any Community Center bundles, so sell it freely for profit or save some for cooking. The Midnight Carp works in Sashimi, Maki Roll, and Quality Fertilizer recipes. Since its catch window is very narrow (only four hours per night) and limited to two seasons, catching the Midnight Carp requires deliberate planning. Head to the Mountain Lake or Forest Pond around 9:30pm to get settled and start fishing right at 10pm. The Forest Pond near the Wizard's Tower can be a good spot since it is closer to your farm. The Midnight Carp also appears on Ginger Island at the same times if you need an alternative location. This is a rewarding fish for night owls who enjoy late-night fishing sessions.
