How to Catch Lobster

The Lobster is a premium ocean crustacean caught using Crab Pots placed in saltwater along the beach. Bait your Crab Pot, place it in the ocean, and check it the next day. Lobsters appear year-round in any weather, making them a reliable passive income source. Since Crab Pots do not involve the fishing mini-game, there is no catch difficulty to worry about. At 120g base sell price, the Lobster is the most valuable regular Crab Pot catch, making it a great reason to keep ocean Crab Pots running consistently. It is required for the Crab Pot Bundle in the Community Center's Fish Tank, so save one for the bundle before selling or cooking the rest. The Lobster is also used in the Lobster Bisque recipe, which is a powerful food item that provides a +3 fishing buff and solid energy and health restoration. This makes the Lobster one of the more useful Crab Pot catches in terms of cooking value. Place your Crab Pots along the beach near Willy's shop for easy daily collection, and use bait regularly to ensure consistent catches. The Luremaster profession at Fishing level 10 removes the bait requirement entirely. The Lobster can also be placed in a Fish Pond, though its pond output is not as valuable as some other options. Between bundle requirements, the Lobster Bisque recipe, and its solid sell price, the Lobster is one of the best reasons to invest in ocean Crab Pots early in the game.
