Boiler Room

The Boiler Room focuses on mining and combat, and its reward is one of the best quality-of-life upgrades in the game: repaired Minecarts. Once completed, you can instantly travel between the Bus Stop, the Mines, the Quarry, and the Town, saving huge amounts of walking time every day. This is especially valuable in the early game when you are constantly moving between the farm, the mines, and town. With only three bundles, the Boiler Room is one of the smallest and fastest rooms to complete. The Blacksmith Bundle requires a Copper Bar, an Iron Bar, and a Gold Bar. You will need to smelt these in a Furnace using ore from the mines and coal. Copper Ore is found on floors 1-39, Iron Ore on floors 40-79, and Gold Ore on floors 80-119. Each bar requires 5 ore and 1 coal. If you are progressing through the mines at a steady pace, you should have all three bars well before the end of your first year. The Geologist Bundle asks for Quartz, Earth Crystal, Frozen Tear, and Fire Quartz. Quartz is common on any mine floor. Earth Crystal drops from enemies and geodes on floors 1-39, Frozen Tear appears on floors 40-79, and Fire Quartz shows up on floors 80-119. You will naturally collect most of these as you work deeper into the mines. Breaking geodes at Clint's shop is another reliable way to get them. The Adventurer's Bundle requires 99 Slime, 10 Bat Wings, 1 Solar Essence, and 1 Void Essence. Slime drops from Green Slimes on the early mine floors, and 99 may sound like a lot, but they accumulate fast. Bat Wings come from bats on floors 40-79. Solar Essence drops from Squid Kids and Ghosts (floors 80+), and Void Essence comes from Shadow creatures on floors 80-119. For new players, prioritize the Boiler Room early. The Minecart fast-travel system will save you time every single day for the rest of your playthrough, and the materials come naturally from regular mine progression.
