Bulletin Board

The Bulletin Board is the Community Center room with the most eclectic mix of items, pulling from cooking, foraging, fishing, farming, and animal products. Its reward is a friendship bonus that gives you two extra hearts with every non-dateable villager in Pelican Town — a significant boost that saves you weeks of gift-giving and makes it much easier to unlock heart events and recipes. The Chef's Bundle is a good starting point: Maple Syrup (from a tapper on a Maple tree), Fiddlehead Fern (foraged in the Secret Woods during Summer only), Truffle (from a Pig in a Deluxe Barn), Poppy (a Summer crop), Maki Roll (crafted with any fish, Seaweed, and Rice at a kitchen), and Fried Egg (cooked from an Egg). The Fiddlehead Fern is the most commonly missed item here — it only spawns in Summer in the Secret Woods, so mark it on your calendar. The Dye Bundle requires items representing six different colors. Red Cabbage is the biggest bottleneck in the entire Bulletin Board: its seeds are only sold by Pierre starting in Year 2, or occasionally from the Traveling Cart. Check the Traveling Cart every Friday and Sunday for Red Cabbage or its seeds — finding it there can save you an entire year of waiting. Duck Feather comes from happy Ducks in a Big Coop, and Aquamarine can be found in gem nodes or geodes in the mines. The Field Research Bundle is simple: Purple Mushroom (deep mines or mushroom cave), Nautilus Shell (Winter beach foraging), Chub (river fish available year-round), and Frozen Geode (mines floors 40-79). The Fodder Bundle needs 10 Wheat, 10 Hay, and 3 Apples. Wheat is a Summer/Fall crop, Hay can be purchased from Marnie or harvested from grass with a Silo, and Apples come from an Apple Tree (plant one by Summer 1 at the latest so it matures by Fall 28). The Enchanter's Bundle asks for Oak Resin, Wine, Rabbit's Foot, and Pomegranate. Rabbit's Foot is the rarest — it drops from happy Rabbits in a Deluxe Coop, or occasionally from the Serpent enemy in Skull Cavern. The Traveling Cart can also stock it. Wine is made in a Keg from any fruit.
